Launch of the report by the Family Solutions Group (FSG): "What about Me?" Reframing Support for Families following Parental Separation
The FSG is a multi-disciplinary group with expertise in working with separated families in and out of court. They have produced a report titled '"What about me?" Reframing Support for Families following Parental Separation' published on 12 November 2020, which focuses on improving the experiences of separating families before any application to court is made.

It recognises that many parental disagreements about children following separation are not legal disputes and require other non-court approaches, focusing primarily on the needs of the child.

At the webinar on 18 of November from 6pm to 7pm, members of the committee will be highlighting FSG’s recommendations and it will be an opportunity to address the panel through a Q&A session to initiate a discussion around the recommendations and the way forward.

The panel will include:

• The Rt Hon Sir Andrew McFarlane, President of the Family Division
• The Hon Mr Justice Cobb (and chair of the Private Law Working Party)
• Helen Adam, chair of Family Solutions Group, mediator and former solicitor
• Dr Jan Ewing, Law School, University of Exeter
• Patrick Myers, Reducing Parental Conflict Programme, DWP
• Charlotte Bradley, Head of Family & Divorce at Kingsley Napley
